ACHC Accreditation
The Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) has been accrediting health care organizations since 1986. ACHC offers an accreditation program developed by providers for providers with written, user-friendly standards and interpretations. ACHC accredits home health agencies, home infusion companies, home care aide programs, home medical equipment suppliers, specialty pharmacies, hospices and companies that specialize in services and products for post breast surgery patients.
ACHC Accreditation Requirements
To earn and maintain ACHC accreditation, an organization must have an extensive on-site review by a team of ACHC healthcare professionals, at the time of initial accreditation and at least once every three years. To become accredited an organization must have policies and procedures that cover:
